Lichtenau, 13.11.2024 - The shareholders of roda computer GmbH announce that they have going into an agreement on the sale of their company shares to MilDef.
We believe we have chosen the best partner for a joint future in MilDef, as we have been working
together for over 20 years and are very familiar with the companies and industries of both organizations. Both companies have many years of experience in providing outstanding solutions that are specifically tailored to changing customer needs.
The combination of the two companies' resources and expertise provides a strong platform for further growth. Both organizations are committed to delivering value to their customers through high-quality solutions.
The acquisition gives MilDef access to important market channels, long-standing customer relationships and existing framework agreements in attractive and growing markets in Central Europe.
"We are very pleased to welcome roda to MilDef. The acquisition of roda accelerates MilDef's expansion in the strategically important defense market in Europe. roda's long-standing customer relationships, existing framework agreements and strong reputation in the Central European market provide good opportunities for upselling MilDef's existing offering, and the acquisition strengthens MilDef's role as a major player in the European effort to enhance defense and security capabilities. We look forward to taking the next step in MilDef's growth path following the completion of the transaction," says Daniel Ljunggren, CEO of MilDef Group.
The management would like to emphasize that roda will continue to operate as usual after the takeover. All current business and contracts will be handled reliably and with confidence. It was of utmost importance to roda that the new owner was selected in such a way that no conflicts of interest arise with our existing customers and that our joint growth continues to be promoted.
"The main criterion when deciding on a new owner for roda was to find a partner who really wants to continue the successful growth of our company. This decision is largely due to the fact that I, as managing partner, intend to retire. We are convinced that MilDef is the perfect addition for further development. Now two of Europe's leading defense technology companies will join forces to offer a very attractive and trustworthy proposition," says Martin Bertsch, CEO of roda computer GmbH.
The transaction is subject to the usual regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
